From Monday 22 June 2020, we are fully open as normal!

Rainbow House Nursery is situated in a village setting on the banks of the river Lea, we are a common sight within the community as we use the village playground and playing fields and often walk through the village to visit the ducks and animals.

We hold up to 65 children in 3 age specific playrooms, Sunbeams 3 – 18 months, Raindrops 18 – 30 months and Rainbows 30 months +. We are open between 7.45am and 6pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks a year, being closed on Bank holidays, a week between Christmas and New Year and 3 staff training days a year in which we are able to develop and improve the practice and standard of care as well as keeping up to date with any changes within the sector. We welcome children of all backgrounds and abilities and are dedicated to providing an inclusive environment; we provide a rich stimulating and exciting learning environment in which your child can grow, learn and develop under the careful supervision of our dedicated and caring staff team.

We have an excellent outdoor learning environment which is split over 3 distinct areas each offering a wide variety of different experiences, we have a large grassed area with access to a large sandpit and purpose built construction area among other resources. We have a patio area with picnic benches which provides a lovely space for the children to completes activities, have messy play or simply sit and enjoy a story.

We offer French lessons to our 3-5 group on a Wednesday morning and offer a music and dance session for our 2-5 group on a Thursday afternoon, the children are able to engage with the teachers and enjoy an informal session.

We offer an after school pick up from the two village schools in Wheathampstead, for the cost of £15 per day, high tea is offered at 4pm along with planned activities and homework help, for children up to 8years.
